For this reason, the workshop was opened to participants outside the team and both the speakers and the participants were of different backgrounds, but all united around the study of Tuberculosis as a disease. A total of 57 participants were present during the 2 days of the workshop.

The feedback from the participants was highly positive. There were also several press-releases related to this workshop. A second workshop is planned for January 2020, also in Bissau. A session dedicated to the presentation of results associated with the research on-going under the Maf-TB project will be included.
